How do we treat Eyelid Trauma?
There are very few eye conditions necessitating emergency treatment outside normal working hours.
The following are some of the conditions that require treatment within a few hours or next morning if during the night.
– Trauma involving a laceration to eyeball or eyelids
– Severe pain associated with reduction in vision to eye
– Profound loss of vision in one eye particularly if associated with pain over temple area or pain on chewing.
If an eye doctor cannot be reached please attend Accident and Emergency.
